As Christians, we are quick to point out that the sovereign God establishes the office of the President according to Romans 13 and Daniel 2. That begs the question, "Why would God 'establish' a candidate like Barak Obama, who stands for things that are contrary to the Bible (abortion and same-sex marriage)?"Although I would never suppose to know for sure or put words in God's mouth, I think we can look to God's Word for answers.
